Former Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Antonio Brown made an elaborate display exiting the Buc's away game at the New York Jets in the 3rd Quarter.

Buccaneers Head Coach Bruce Arians reportedly asked Brown to get into the game and Brown refused. Arians then told Brown to get out, after which Brown undressed on the field, ripping his shoulder pads and jersey off. Buc's Receiver Mike Evans attempted to calm Brown down but to no avail as shortly thereafter Brown took off his undershirt throwing it and the rest of his gear into the stands.

Brown then paraded around the field ending up in the endzone where he seemed to hype up the crowd. He then ran off the field into the teams' locker room and did not return for the remainder of the game. Brown then received a police escort to the airport without communicating to the team about where he planned to go.

Buc's Head Coach Bruce Arians told Fox Sport's Jay Glazer that “Yeah, I did [see it]. Never seen anything like it in all my years” when asked if he say Brown remove his jersey on the field. In a post-game interview, Arians said "He is no longer a Buc. That's the end of the story..." after he was asked what happened with Antonio Brown.

Brown has been ripped on social media for this stunt, some of our favorite takes on his meltdown are below.

This is not Brown's first dramatic event this season, this meltdown occurred just a week after he returned from a three-game suspension from the league. The suspension came after Brown attempted to use a fake vaccine card to avoid the NFL's covid protocol for unvaccinated players. Brown took to Instagram after his apparent retirement with a simple caption and message to the Buc's "Thanks for the opportunity."
